Tales from Rwanda.

So last month I made a quick trip to Rwanda, also referred to as the Europe of Africa.  From the breathtaking scenery, the terrain which can be seen from an ariel view, to the warm and friendly people, Rwanda is such a beautiful African country. I now get why its referred to as the Europe of Africa.

The amount of order in that country is in another level. The city is very clean and I bet us Kenyans can borrow a leaf or two from them and I still remain proudly Kenyan :-).

I Couldn’t leave without visiting the one place that we all  know something about, the Kigali Genocide Memorial Park. I must admit friends, the experience was just life changing. I remember having to deal with so many emotions. I guess that was one of the reasons it took me so long to do this post. I just couldn’t find words to explain it and I still haven’t found them.

If there is one thing I appreciate is the peace we have here and I’m definitely grateful for a peaceful Rwanda.

I may never be able to share in depth my experience but I can sum my bundle of emotions with one sentence; Be grateful for the little things you have, for your family, your freedom to walk, talk, tweet, and share , blog what you love because we live by the grace and mercies of God.

Enjoy the rest of this month guys and remember to be kind and do good.

  2. I think I want job like yours where I can pack my suitcase anytime ha!
Rwanda looks so beautiful and you too with your Afro dear Elle
    Enjoy your new week

    • Thanks Hun. My job believe you its quite challenging. Maybe one day I’ll talk about what exactly I do but its more of Marketing and communication just to give you an idea.

  3. This place, i always lack words when i visit this place

  4. I did not know that Rwanda is referred to as the Europe of Africa and yes, Rwanda is very clean because they have very strict laws regarding the environment. I wouldn’t contribute my feelings about the genocide memorial park because I am very emotional when it comes to matters of death even though I don’t know the people involved. I agree that we should appreciate the little things because they are the most valuable more than money or gold. i hope Kenya can be like Rwanda in terms of cleanliness and following rules like the Rwandese are.

  5. Beautiful country, colorful and exciting location, and breathtaking view. Loving how the look is simple yet so stylish. The yellow pop adds fun to everything.

  6. It is never easy visiting a memorial site especially one of huge magnitude and you think of all those lives lost and who those people would be today. As humans we often forget to appreciate the little things we have since we are always looking at what we don’t have. So yes, appreciate the things you have right now however small or insignificant they may seem, it is what you makes you.

You look stunning in this dress love, of late you have been into clothes with a flare…this one is nice for a change.

    Have a great weekend.

    • Yes dear, I’m trying new things and so far loving how its playing out. True, I couldn’t agree more at times we overlook the smallest yet the most important things in our lives.

  7. This is a beautiful post. Although you may feel like you don’t have the words to explain, I still get your point and I love the post.
    Enjoy your day dear!
