V-day Edition!

It’s that time of year again when Valentines Day is hurled at us and we have no option of ducking. My V-Day edit should have a little something for everyone, whether a Valentines lover or hater. Personally, I’m not really into this day. In my opinion, I don’t think we need one day to show the special people in our lives that we love them.

Anyway, it’s quite unfortunate that it had to fall on a Saturday. I’m guessing every joint in town will be full. If you’re thinking of where to go, Heartstrings Kenya will be hosting a play that runs from this Tuesday to Sunday, which you can’t afford to miss. There will also be a stand-up comedy night at the Hilton, Nairobi on Saturday. Saving the best two for last, my favourite duo Atemi and Chris Adwar will be at the Carnivore Simba Saloon on Saturday evening, and the Nairobi Elegance Affair will be happening earlier on Saturday, which, thanks to the Beckysville Trends, I’m privileged to be attending alongside the lovely Linda, the lady behind lindasworldofstyle.blogspot.com. *EXCITEMENTS*

2 different outfits, 2 different photographers. I suppose all ladies will be in red, so why not try something more light with as little red as possible? Better yet, red as an accessory will do you wonders.

Look 1 is more of a daytime outfit, though it can also work for an evening dinner setting.
imageWith the hot sun, one will need to dress lightly but look elegant and what better way to do this than white.

White is a good deflector of heat so it would leave you feeling more cool, fresh and elegant. The thing about this dress that catches the eye is the high end slit which I think is really cool.

Look 2 can also be worn both during the day and night.

What I love about this look is the fact that black works well for any occasion. The Cosette is the X-Factor in this outfit. Tulle’s have been trending for a while and it just gets better with a cos and a belt.
